Kimse Yok Mu affiliate Time to Help volunteers back in Belgium from Africa

Date posted: October 10, 2014

Volunteers of the Europe-based charity foundation Time to Help arrived back in Belgium after distributing Eid al-Adha meat in Africa. They were involved in the foundation’s efforts for the needy in countries across the continent including Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Central Africa, Uganda, Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique and Madagascar.

Ertugrul Demir, a volunteer, said although they’re away from their families they had the eid in an atmosphere of brotherhood. “We shared the sacrificial meat with the Zambia people. The distribution event held by the local Horizon Schools was a success. We distributed the meat primarily at the orphanages and impoverished villages. The locals were overjoyed to see the donations,” Demir said.

Similarly, another volunteer Hakan Harmandar said it was worth spending the eid far away from their loved ones. “The people here were looking forward to us.”

“Our hosts had perfectly arranged everything in advance. All we needed to do was say “We are here!” to those crying out for help. Thanks Allah, we’ve been able to fulfill our duty,” Naim Sen, a volunteer businessman, remarked.
