President Ellen Commends Turkish School for Commitment to Pursuing Quality Education

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has commended students of Cyber-Ed Christian School of Excellence Liberia—Turkish International School for being so courageous, disciplined and committed to pursuing quality education at their various schools of learning.

According to an Executive Mansion release, President Sirleaf made the commendation on Friday, May 13, 2016, when she made a brief stopover at the Cyber-Ed Christian School of Excellence and the Liberia Turkish International Light Schools in Congo Town and Airfield Shortcut respectively.

The Liberian leader used the occasion to commend parents and students of both institutions for supporting their children’s education for the purpose of acquiring quality education.

“Let me say how pleased we are to see all of you in School; to see all of you doing so well; we want to commend you for pursuing quality education” President Sirleaf Said.

Similarly, President Sirleaf commended sponsors of the institutions for making the facilities available, to enable Liberian students to pursue quality education.

Speaking further, President Sirleaf requested the students to take their learning seriously by studying their lessons and pay attention to their teachers, instructors and professors adding, “You can be whatever you want to be once you take your lesson seriously and respect your parents”, she said.

President Sirleaf urged the students of Cyber-Ed Christian School of Excellence and Liberian—Turkish International School who gathered to welcome her to remain disciplined in pursuing their education.

Also speaking during the visit, Education Minister, George Werner commended the students for reporting to school regularly and on time, while at the same times, taking their lessons seriously.

Minister Werner also requested authorities of the schools including principals, and teachers to report to school on time for the purpose of impacting good knowledge into the students.

In separate remarks, Michelle Dennis Wento, Co-Founder and Administrator of Cyber-Ed Christian School of Excellence, Mr. Etem Taniskan, Principal and Mrs. Linda Dean, Vice Principal of Liberia –Turkish Light International School expressed thanks and appreciations to President Sirleaf and Minister Werner for the visit and expressed the hope that the visit will not be the last.

Meanwhile, the Turkish International School through its Vice Principal Mrs. Dean, presented a gift to President Sirleaf as a sign of appreciation to her for her outstanding leadership and commitment demonstrated over the years.

President Sirleaf was also taken on a guided tour of the facilities of both schools by Michelle Dennis Wento, Co-Founder and Administrator of Cyber-Ed Christian School of Excellence and Mr. Etem Taniskan, Mrs. Linda Dean of Liberia –Turkish Light International School.
