ISPO becomes Turkish schools’ success story in Indonesia

The seventh Indonesian Science Project Olympiad (ISPO), organized in Indonesia under the direction of Turkish schools, chose its first four successful participants on Wednesday.
One of the greatest scientific projects of the country, the ISPO attracts a good deal of attention as it is said to motivate students and improve critical thinking skills in the field of science. During the competition, the various projects the students made for the ISPO received much attention from the public and credit from the jury.
A total of 700 scientific projects were presented at the ISPO from 23 provinces of Indonesia. A total of 123 of them made it to the finals. The involvement of female students in the Olympiad and their higher rate of success in comparison with the male participants received a positive reception from jury members.
Projects that excel in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, technology, information and the environment will represent Indonesia in different international Olympiads.

Foreign students who are graduates of schools opened by Turkish entrepreneurs affiliated with the Hizmet movement all around the world, have expressed bewilderment over the government’s plan to shut down the schools, saying that the Turkish government is making a grave mistake in targeting these schools as they are renowned and praised for their high-quality education by foreigners.
Students from 70 countries celebrate graduation in Turkey
Turkish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON) Chairman Rızanur Meral, Journalists and Writers Foundation (GYV) Chairman Mustafa Yeşil and writers Reşit Haylamaz and Mehmet Akar attended the graduation ceremony of international students who had come to Turkey from nearly 70 countries.
Students of Fatih Schools take first place in LYS and TEOG exams
Students of the Fatih Schools network — which are inspired by the faith-based Gülen movement — popularly known as the Hizmet movement — were the top scorers in both the Transition from Primary to Secondary Education (TEOG) exams taken from Nov. 26-27 and April 29-30 and the Undergraduate Placement Examination (LYS).
