Kimse Yok Mu receives a letter of appreciation from Uganda’s Office of the Prime Minister on October 3, 2014 for the aid it extended during and after disasters. The letter said:
“On behalf of the Government of Uganda, through the Ministry of Disaster preparedness and Refugees and on my own behalf, permit me to express our appreciation to KIMSE YOK MU for the support it has extended and continues to extend to Uganda through Nile Humanitarioan Development Agency, in form of relief support during disasters, for example, the Bududa landslides where KIMSE YOK MU generously contributed towards the support of the affected communities.”
The letter also appreciated meat distribution during the Feast of Sacrifice (Eid Al-Adha) to both Muslim and non-Muslim communities.
The letters was signed, on behalf of the PM’s Office, by the Minister of State for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees.

A Turkish state-run educational foundation has signed memorandums of understanding with 26 countries in Africa to take control of schools belonging to people from the faith-based Gülen movement. Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen donated to the Kimse Yok Mu foundation $10,000 for the victims of the Typhoon Haiyan disaster in the Philippines. “According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs [UNOCHA], 4.3 million people have been affected by the typhoon and 330,000 people are now homeless. Ninety percent of the houses in Tacloban city have been damaged,” AFAD stated recently.

Emphasizing the importance of Gülen’s remarks, Akdoğan said: “Political and social support to this peace process is of high importance. The government cannot take a step in spite of the public and nation. It is easier for the [government] to get a result when there is strong support from the public.
