Turkish School in Romania Granted with ‘Award of Excellence’

Romania Ministry of Education awarded successful students in the international science Olympics with a “diploma of excellence”.
Six successful students of the International Bucharest Computer Lyceum, connected with Lumina Education Institution and established by Turkish entrepreneurs, were deemed worthy for the award of excellence.
Education Minister Mihail Hardau participated in the ceremony at the Child Palace (Palatul Copiilor). The minister congratulated school authorities, and wished for the continuation of their success.
Georgia refuses refugee status to detained ‘Gülen school manager’
Georgia’s Ministry of Refugees has refused to grant a refugee status to Mustafa Emre Çabuk, a manager at the Private Demirel College, a school linked to Turkish opposition political figure Fethullah Gülen. Mr Çabuk was detained in Tbilisi on Turkey’s request.

Police raid Gülen-inspired schools in Adana despite ministry regulation
The Adana Police Department early on Thursday coordinated with inspectors from several ministries and other institutions to conduct raids on private schools, dormitories and prep schools established by volunteers inspired by the Gülen movement, despite regulations stating that only the Education Ministry may perform such inspections.
